S\u00f3stratos de Knidos es un joven que vive en el seno de una familia normal y corriente y que lleva una vida como la de cualquier otro chico de su edad y de su tiempo: va a la escuela, ayuda a sus padres y a sus hermanos, tiene inquietudes filos\u00f3ficas\u2026 Sin embargo, nuestro joven protagonista no imagina que su afici\u00f3n y su pasi\u00f3n por las matem\u00e1ticas iban a acabar haciendo de \u00e9l todo un arquitecto, y no un arquitecto cualquiera, sino uno de los m\u00e1s c\u00e9lebres de la \u00e9poca. S\u00f3stratos trabajar\u00e1 bajo las \u00f3rdenes del rey Ptolomeo y, entre otras construcciones c\u00e9lebres, ser\u00e1 el arquitecto que dise\u00f1e el faro de Alejandr\u00eda.Antonio Cavanillas mezcla la ficci\u00f3n propia del relato y los hechos hist\u00f3ricos, para crear una novela hist\u00f3rica absolutamente original y de gran ritmo narrativo.En El arquitecto conoceremos la historia de S\u00f3stratos de Knidos, un arquitecto de gran legado, pero muy desconocido.
