Las piezas y esbozos narrativos aqu\u00ed reunidos tienen por base un archivo de texto muy tard\u00edo, en el que Bola\u00f1o trabaj\u00f3 hasta poco antes de su muerte. El t\u00edtulo que engloba el conjunto es el mismo que el de un cuento que comienza as\u00ed: \u00abEste cuento es muy simple aunque hubiera podido ser muy complicado.
