Como en Biograf\u00eda de un cimarr\u00f3n, la fuerza principal de Barnet reside en su capacidad de recreaci\u00f3n del lenguaje. Literalmente o\u00edmos hablar a sus personajes, escuchamos las distintas hablas que los sit\u00faan en su diversidad, los vemos hablar y moverse en ese fresco entra\u00f1able de la peque\u00f1a historia. Pues, en palabras de Eduardo Galeano, \u00b4Miguel Barnet, certero escuchador, decidor de palabra clara, demuestra que el testimonio bien puede ser alta literatura. Nuestros pa\u00edses tienen una deuda pendiente con los miles y miles de inmigrantes que han venido a tierras de Am\u00e9rica desde Galicia. Por mano de Miguel, aqu\u00ed cuenta su historia un hombre de dos patrias, un cubano en cuya memoria no han cesado de resonar los airinhos de la aldea donde naci\u00f3. Pero m\u00e1s all\u00e1 del personaje y su peripecia, este libro es un homenaje y un entra\u00f1able desagravio a los miles y miles de gallegos que tantas veces han recibido desprecio a cambio del mucho amor y trabajo que nos han entregado\u00b4. Gallego es un buen ejemplo de esto, y, sobre todo, una gran novela. Es, sencillamente escrita, la sencilla historia de un emigrante gallego que se construye su vida en Cuba, en dif\u00edciles condiciones, y un desfile de personajes entra\u00f1ables (tan lejos de los \u00b4tipos t\u00edpicos\u00b4 de la novela convencional), perfectamente construidos con unos pocos toques magistrales, y, tambi\u00e9n, una visi\u00f3n, sin \u00e9nfasis ni pretensiones interpretacionistas, de la historia de Cuba (y, por reflejo, de la de Espa\u00f1a) en la primera mitad de este siglo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
