Guareschi. Nada m\u00e1s absurdo y reidero, en efecto, que ver un joven marido encerrado en un colegio para ilustrarse y aleccionarse en las maneras urbanas de comportamiento social, a fin de merecer el amor de su esposa y su admisi\u00f3n sin tacha en el seno de una familia de rancio abolengo, aunque amenguada econ\u00f3micamente, cuyos antepasados fueron paladines de las Cruzadas. El marido, en cambio, es un r\u00fastico le\u00f1ador que incluso debe aprender a sentarse en la mesa y usar debidamente los utensilios que la elegancia mundana ha diferenciado prolijamente. El conflicto nace de que la familiar de los Cruzados debe soportar a este marido impuesto por el t\u00edo Casimiro, hombre acaudalado, a cuyas expensas vive aqu\u00e9lla, bajo pena de perder la asignaci\u00f3n mensual de que goza y el palacio donde habita gratuitamente. El empe\u00f1o de burlar al t\u00edo da lugar a innumerables escenas c\u00f3micas y razonamientos hilarantes, porque si la familia de la esposa posee recursos h\u00e1biles para malograr los efectos inmediatos del matrimonio, el t\u00edo tiene la sart\u00e9n por el mango con el testamento, en cuya virtud la sobrina ser\u00e1 heredera de su fortuna a condici\u00f3n de que el matrimonio tenga ejecuci\u00f3n real y se manifieste con un hijo en el t\u00e9rmino de un a\u00f1o. El dilema resulta as\u00ed desesperante, porque o se allana la familia al escarnio, o se pierden la pitanza y la herencia. En este tono se desarrolla toda la novela, a veces con toques sat\u00edricos y generalmente con reflexiones muy humanas que hacen de la lectura un modelo de buen humor y de ocurrencias que pueden considerarse geniales<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
