En el mismo semaniro Por qu\u00e9, Julio Camarero nos hablar\u00e1 de la \u2019monstruosa mujer&#8230;(que)&#8230;hab\u00eda encontrado la vida adecuada para saciar su patol\u00f3gica sed de cr\u00edmenes\u2019. En un \u2019espectacular atraco\u2019,- escribir\u00e1-:\u2019ella personalmente asesin\u00f3 a un matrimonio y dos hijos, dejando herido a un tercero\u2019. Aguado S\u00e1nchez:2&#8230;Pastora, una mujer lesbiana de instintos criminales&#8230;\u2019. En tus manos tienes un libro que cuenta c\u00f3mo les afect\u00f3 a los masoveros la presencia de lso maquis. Aun siendo un estudio serio y completo de la Agrupaci\u00f3n Guerrillera Levante (AGLA), no es un libro m\u00e1s de maquis, pese a lo cual cuenta con los testimonios directos de ocho guerrilleros, entre los que se encuentra el propio protagonista La Pastora. Cuenta con una entra\u00f1able colaboraci\u00f3n especial del destacado jefe guerrillero del XVII Sector, Militar \/ Rubio, proporcionada a trv\u00e9s de numerosas entrevistas personales y telef\u00f3nicas, una extensa correspondencia y la revelaci\u00f3n de memorias in\u00e9ditas. Del mismo modo, recoge las vivencias de tres de los guardias civiles que actuaron en la zona del Maestrazgo y los puertos de Morella. Ha sido preciso consultar ocho archivos p\u00fablicos y m\u00e1s de medio centenar de la extensa bibliograf\u00eda existente sobre el tema. Pese a todo ello, el valor del libro lo conceden los testimonios directos de los que siendo los verdaderos protagonistas de la historia, hab\u00edan quedado hasta ahora en un segundo plano: los masoveros.
