En una visita previa que hiciera al Planeta Perdido, el doctor Hudson ha aprendido a respetar la inteligencia de los poseidanos cuyo aspecto es similar al de los pulpos de nuestros mares. Durante su estada ha trabado tambi\u00e9n amistad con Kutt, el hijo del L\u00edder del planeta. Cuando llega el momento de la crisis entre los dos mundos, Bill idea un plan audaz para burlar al grupo de individuos inescrupulosos que tratan por todos los medios de desencadenar un conflicto armado.
