Hasta entonces, tanto en la casa como en el pueblo, hab\u00eda imperado un pacto: no hablar de sus escritos, no recordarle un pasado glorioso como narrador y menos criticar lo que los estudiosos ya hab\u00edan consagrado a su debido tiempo. El hombre siente que algo anda mal. Lo curioso es que este hombre tambi\u00e9n es poeta, pero a escondidas. S\u00f3lo escribe esas p\u00e1ginas l\u00edricas cuando esta en el campo y el enfrentamiento con el hijo le altera el orden dom\u00e9stico que llevaba. Durante dos largos a\u00f1os intenta recuperar su tranquilidad y con seud\u00f3nimo p\u00fablica un libro de poemas. Lo mismo que con sus narraciones, los cr\u00edticos exageran ahora en sus comentarios. De nuevo queda consagrado y, misteriosamente, nadie asocia estos trabajos con los anteriores. Entonces, un s\u00e1bado de primavera le pide a otro viajero que baje la ventanilla del vag\u00f3n del tren y cuando llegan a la estaci\u00f3n lo encuentran muerto.
