Christopher Silvester, el editor del Libro Penguin de entrevistas, de donde se han extra\u00eddo los textos que incluye este volumen, asegura en su larga y documentada introducci\u00f3n que la primera entrevista moderna, tal y como hoy la concebimos, fue publicada en el New-York Tribune el 20 de agosto de 1859. Se trataba de una conversaci\u00f3n con Brigham Young, un l\u00edder morm\u00f3n, y fue hecha por Horace Greeley, un periodista norteamericano bastante c\u00e9lebre en su tiempo. Silvester la incluye en su antolog\u00eda, aunque hoy mantiene un inter\u00e9s muy relativo, al menos para los lectores espa\u00f1oles.
