Los croma\u00f1ones se han extendido por todo el mundo y los neandertales s\u00f3lo subsisten en el sur de la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica, protegidos por un r\u00edo. Entonces se inicia una nueva era glaciar. Ibai, una joven cham\u00e1n croma\u00f1\u00f3n, viaja hasta la orilla del Gran R\u00edo para invocar a los esp\u00edritus y encontrar la manera de derrotar al dios del fr\u00edo. All\u00ed encuentra a Bid, un neandertal que ha dejado su tribu, ansioso por realizar una haza\u00f1a que le haga merecer el respeto de los suyos. Dos especies distintas se descubren, intentan comunicarse, desconf\u00edan y al mismo tiempo se atraen. Juntos, Ibai y Bid se ven obligados a luchar contra el gran cham\u00e1n del fuego que desea dominar a los dioses y a los clanes.
