En el presente, los nietos del matrimonio Harker descubren una grabaci\u00f3n en su autom\u00f3vil dejada por nuestro conocido conde (el t\u00edtulo original es \u201cThe Dracula Tape\u201d) donde describe paso a paso todos los hechos que envolvieron su periplo por Inglaterra, desde el trayecto de Jonathan Harker a sus dominios en Transilvania, su viaje por mar en el Demeter, su estancia en el Londres victoriano y la lucha incansable que sostuvo con el doctor Van Helsing y sus s\u00e9quitos.La idea era buena, no lo dudo, pero al leer nos encontramos con otro Dr\u00e1cula, uno que encuentra justificaci\u00f3n para todo, hasta para lo injustificable. Olv\u00eddense de aquel otrora ser diab\u00f3lico, maquiav\u00e9lico y despiadado, Saberhagen transforma al personaje en un tipo simp\u00e1tico y amable, que le faltaba poco para andar pregonando el lema de la revoluci\u00f3n de las flores \u201cPaz y Amor\u201d (y obvio aqu\u00ed Van Helsing y compa\u00f1\u00eda son la encarnaci\u00f3n de la ineptitud humana).
